OUR STORY
My name is Andria Gayed, and my journey with theatre and media began in a small town in Upper Egypt. It grew with me as I moved to Cairo and later travelled across continents to Australia. Wherever life took me, storytelling remained my constant.
Over time, I witnessed the powerful impact stories and media can have on children, their ability to shape values, spark curiosity, and create lasting emotional connections. This belief guided my academic and professional path. I earned a PhD in Television Studies and worked with Discovery Education, transforming school curricula into engaging media experiences, as well as directing Sesame Street.
Living in Melbourne, a city built on cultural diversity, and becoming a parent to Farah and Farid reshaped my perspective. I became deeply aware of a gap: the lack of spaces where children from different cultural backgrounds can truly meet, play, and learn together at an early age. I believe children connect most deeply through play, imagination, and shared challenges, not screens.
This belief led me to bring together over 25 years of experience into one clear vision: creating immersive edutainment experiences that children don’t just watch, but live. Through interactive adventures that blend theatre, media, and hands-on activities, these experiences bring children together and create learning that is meaningful, inclusive, and unforgettable.
Problem & Solution
Bullying and Discrimination: Bullying affects 1 in 4 Australian students, with many also experiencing cyberbullying and racial discrimination in and beyond the classroom.
Our Solution: GloboVentures offers arts-based, interactive programs that promote empathy, acceptance, and cultural understanding, empowering students to embrace diversity and create respectful, inclusive communities.
Lack of Resources for Schools: Many schools struggle to find engaging, culturally meaningful content and resources to address bullying and promote inclusion effectively.
Our Solution: We provide rich, ready-to-use programs and resources that align with curriculum goals, saving teachers time and effort while fostering a positive, inclusive school environment that celebrates culture and diversity.
